Gigi’s Place is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free, loving, temporary care for the pets of individuals who are hospitalized or experiencing serious illness.

Our Mission is to Ensure that No Pet is Left Behind when their Person Needs Medical Care or Healing Time.
Pets will be picked up from the owner's home and cared for in our loving home or with Fosters until the patient is discharged from the hospital and can care for them again.
Dogs will be accommodated at our facility or, if capacity is reached, placed with a temporary foster family.
Cats may remain in the family home and receive twice-daily visits for litter box maintenance, feeding, and water changes; alternatively, they may be brought to our facility for housing in the dedicated cat area or sent to a foster location.
All necessities, including food, treats, blankets, and dog beds, as well as overnight boarding fees, are provided through generous donated resources.
If an animal needs to be surrendered, rehoming will be arranged with a supportive shelter and placed with a new loving family.
Because Healing Is Easier When You Know Your Pet Is Safe
At Gigi’s Place, both pets and their owners find comfort and care during difficult times. Pets are welcomed into a safe, loving environment where they enjoy daily meals, playtime, and cozy comforts—whether in our home, with a foster family, or through in-home visits. This ensures they feel secure, nurtured, and stress-free while their owners recover. For pet owners, it means peace of mind knowing their companions are cared for without the financial burden of boarding costs. Every detail, from food and blankets to compassionate attention, is covered through donations.
No one should have to choose between their health and their pet.
A Name with Heart: The Story Behind Gigi’s Place
The name "Gigi's Place" is inspired by Gigi, the Standard Poodle, Gigi, who was our first pet we cared for while her owner faced an unexpected hospitalization, as well as the name Audrey's grandchildren affectionately use for her. Gigi's Place just seemed the perfect name!
